(VOVWORLD) - More than 14 million foreign tourists visited Vietnam during the last 11 months, up 21 percent against last year.

The General Statistics Office said on Thursday that in this period, most of the foreigners visiting Vietnam by air. Tourists from Asia accounted for 77.8 percent of the total, mostly from the Republic of Korea, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, and China’s Taiwan.
Holiday-makers from Europe increased by 8.7 percent year-on-year, with the biggest number coming from Russia. Vietnam aims to receive 15 to 16 million foreign visitors this year.
