(VOVworld) - Overseas remittances to Vietnam totaled 10 billion USD last year, the record high so far. According to the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs, the money that Overseas Vietnamese sent to Ho Chi Minh city reached 4 billion USD, accounting for more than 40% of the country’s total. The total remittance sent home by more than 4 million Vietnamese over the past 3 years increased by 10% annually. Most of the transactions were made through banks with improved services.
