At a meeting in Prague on Monday, Hieu said the Party and State care about the overseas Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic, adding that domestic agencies will continue to contribute to bilateral relations.

He said he believes the upcoming visit of Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son to the Czech Republic will strengthen political and economic ties between the two countries. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is focused on consolidating the great national unity bloc and attracting more financial resources and teams of entrepreneurs and intellectuals, Hieu said.

He expressed his hope that the community will continue to teach Vietnamese to the next generation to preserve Vietnamese culture and promote a spirit of solidarity, and will integrate more fully into the host country.

Hieu attended a seminar on Monday connecting Vietnamese businesses and the community of entrepreneurs, intellectuals and OVs in the Czech Republic.
