(VOVworld) – The Overseas Vietnamese Association in Norway raised money to help Vietnam’s government to defend its sovereignty over the Truong Sa and Hoang Sa archipelagos.

OVs in Norway contribute to defense of Vietnam’s maritime sovereignty

Last month, the Association sent a letter to protest the Chinese Embassy in Norway and early this month held demonstrations in Oslo city to protest China’s illegal deployment of oil rig Haiyang 981 in Vietnam’s exclusive economic zone and continental shelf.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Norway Le Thi Tuyet Mai praised the overseas Vietnamese in Norway for their practical community activities and expressed her belief that the Association will continue to foster solidarity among its members and do more to support their fatherland.
