(VOVworld)- Iran and the P5+1 group, consisting of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council (Russia, China, France, Britain, and the US) plus Germany, have been discussing a draft resolution to ease UN sanctions on Iran if involved countries reach an agreement on Iran’s nuclear program. Their discussion took place prior to the negotiation scheduled for next week in Switzerland, regarding Iran’s nuclear development program. The discussions have mainly focused on the EU and US sanction measures, targeting Iran’s financial and energy sectors, which will be the main point of the upcoming talks. Iran and the P5+1 are trying to finish the final agreement framework on Iran’s nuclear program by March 31 and reach a final deal by June 30. According to this, Iran will temporarily stop its nuclear program within at least a decade in exchange for the West’s lifting of sanctions on Iran.
