(VOVworld) – The Palestinian Authority is planning to file charges against Israel with the International Criminal Court (ICC) as soon as it becomes an ICC member in April, said Saeb Erekat, top Palestinian negotiator.

He said Palestine will submit 2 briefs: one against Israel’s attack on the Gaza strip last July which killed more than 2,000 Palestinians, and the other against Israel’s settlements in the West Bank since 1968. Palestine has completed all procedures to become an ICC member, including ratification of the Rome statute and 16 other UN treaties.
