Head of the National Assembly’s Committee on Foreign Affairs Nguyen Van Giau told a media conference in Hanoi on Wednesday that the Vietnamese National Assembly has proposed a draft APPF Hanoi Declaration- New vision for the Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Partnership. Mr. Giau said that if approved, the declaration will be an important result to mark APPF’s 25^th founding anniversary. He added that the hosting of the event showing the Vietnamese National Assembly’s role and responsibility in the APPF while popularizing images of a renovated, dynamic, active and responsible Assembly worldwide.

Vietnam’s hosting of the 26th Annual Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum marks an important external political event, opening a series of diplomatic activities across Vietnam in 2018.
