Party Central Committee meets to introduce candidates to Politburo, Secretariat
(VOVWORLD) - Senior Party members began a meeting in Hanoi on Monday to consider and adopt draft documents of the upcoming 13th National Party Congress and introduce candidates to the Politburo and the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat for the 13th tenure.

Party General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong told the Party Central Committee's gathering, “Most public comments said the draft documents are scientific, prudent, thorough, and innovative. They balance theory and practice and reflect the aspirations of the people and the Party’s wise leadership. The documents objectively and comprehensively review accomplishments and shortcomings and address causes and solutions."
He went on to say that development trends in Vietnam and around the world are anticipated, providing a basis for working out detailed goals and plans to realize them in all sectors.

Mr. Trong stressed the importance of personnel work for the Politburo and Secretariat at this session, saying this will be a decisive factor in the success of the 13th National Party Congress and Vietnam’s future development. At the latest session last month, the Committee voted to approve candidates to the 13th Party Central Committee and the Inspection Commission.
The ongoing session will conclude on Sunday.
