Party Central Committee prepares personnel for next tenure
(VOVWORLD) - Senior Party members met in Hanoi on Monday to discuss candidates for the next Party Central Committee, and elections for the National Assembly and People’s Councils for the 2021-2026 tenure.

The 4-day Party Central Committee meeting will also focus on the number of delegates for the 13th National Party Congress scheduled for next year.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Party leader and President Nguyen Phu Trong underlined the need to strengthen Party building and rectification and promote national unity to make Vietnam a socialist-oriented developed country by the middle of the 21st century.
“We must build a Central Committee, the highest leadership of the Party, which serves as a political leadership nucleus with the highest unity and consensus. This is a vital task for the future of the Party and the nation,” said Mr. Trong.
