The two leaders agreed to further political trust, high-level contacts via  Party, Government, National Assembly and people channels between the two countries and boost relations between the Communist Party of Vietnam and political parties in India, including the ruling Indian People's Party.

They assigned agencies to ramp up coordination to implement programs in the fields of pillar cooperation, capitalize on the potentials and strengths of each country in economic cooperation, trade and investment in order to facilitate their post-pandemic strong recovery.

They also exchanged and shared stances on regional and international issues of mutual concern. Regarding the East Sea, the two sides agreed on the necessity of maintaining peace, stability, cooperation, development and respect for international law, including the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea, and respect for sovereignty, sovereign rights of nations and freedom of aviation and navigation.

Regarding the Ukraine situation, the two leaders reaffirmed the importance of respecting international law, not using force and threatening to use force. They expressed their hope that relevant parties will promote dialogue and negotiation to end armed conflict and restore peace on the basis of respecting the legitimate interests of the parties, in accordance with international law, ensuring the safety of civilians, and solving humanitarian problems.
