(VOVworld)-Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong visited the northern Thai province of Nakhon Phanom on Thursday and the local memorial house honoring President Ho Chi Minh. He also visited the Thai-Viet friendship village where President Ho Chi Minh used to live for revolutionary activity. In his meeting with local Viet Kieu community, he praised their efforts in fostering solidarity and strengthen strategic partnership between the two countries. The Party leader said overseas Vietnamese are indispensible community of Vietnamese people:“I hope overseas Vietnamese will promote their experience and better carry out civic responsibility as Thai citizens while turning hearts and minds to the homeland and preserving national identities.”

The Party leader met with local provincial leaders and some Vietnamese families before his return to Hanoi, concluding his official visit to Thailand.
