(VOVworld)- Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong met with voters in Ba Dinh and Hoan Kiem districts in Hanoi on Saturday.  Voters followed with keen interest achievements reached at the year-end session of the 13^th National Assembly. The Party chief thanked voters for their comments and hailed the amendment to the 1992 Constitution which confirms the Party leadership and added its responsibilities: “The Communist Party of Vietnam is the pioneer of the working class, the people and the nation. It is loyal to Marxism Leninism and Ho Chi Minh thought while having a close connection with the people and care for people’s interest, protecting the people and subject to people’s supervision. Such a Party will be able to lead the Vietnamese revolution in the new era.”

In related news, National Assembly deputies from Quang Tri and Phu Yen provinces have met with voters to listen to their aspirations and inform them about outcomes of the year-end National Assembly session. Deputies received more than 150 opinions from voters on issues including land, supportive policies to beneficiary families, and resettlement plan for infrastructure development projects. Voters called for extension of debt repayment and breed support in agricultural production to ensure sustainable growth.
