Party leader meets French Prime Minister
(VOVWORLD) - General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong met French Prime Minister, Édouard Philippe, in Paris on Monday as part of his current official visit to France.

Both sides affirmed their desire to deepen the Vietnam-France strategic partnership and uplift bilateral economic ties on par with the two countries’ potential.
PM Philippe urged the Vietnamese government to create favourable conditions for French investors in Vietnam. Party Leader Nguyen Phu Trong promised to facilitate the participation of French companies in Vietnam’s industrialisation and modernisation, and help them to access ASEAN markets and approach member countries of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).
Both sides expressed their desire to accelerate the signing and ratification of the Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the European Union in 2018.
