(VOVworld)- On Monday, Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong received Cuban Vice President of the Council of State Salvador Valdes Messa, who is also the Special Envoy of the First Secretary of the Cuban Communist Party.

Mr. Trong congratulated the success of the 7^th National Party Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba and the great achievements that the Cuban Party, State and people have gained in updating socio-economic model and in external relations. Trong said he believed that with its major guidelines and policies concerning economics, politics, and society adopted at the 7^th National Party Congress, Cuba would overcome difficulties and develop sustainably. The same day, Mr. Salvador Valdes Mesa held talks with Mr. Pham Minh Chinh, Head of the Organization Commission of the Party Central Committee. The two sides briefed each other on the situation of their parties and countries and preparations for the 3^rd Theoretical Workshop of the two Parties. The workshop is scheduled to take place in Vietnam later this year.
