(VOVworld) – Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong will pay an official visit to China from January 12 to January 15, 2017, at the invitation of Party General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping.

The visit will be made ahead of celebrations of the 67^th anniversary of Vietnam-China diplomatic ties and Lunar New Year festivals in both countries. This will be Mr. Trong’s first visit to China after the 12^th Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam. The visit is aimed at developing a sound relationship between the two countries for mutual benefits and for peace and prosperity in the region and the world.
