Launched by the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education, the Central Theoretical Council, and the National Political Publishing House, the book comprises 29 articles and speeches by Party leader Trong since the preparation of Documents of the 13th National Party Congress until now. The articles feature in-depth nature and core values of Socialism in politics, economics, building Party and political system, culture, society, national defense, security, and foreign affairs.
Experts say Party General Secretary Trong's book is a valuable document, a high-level theoretical overview, a profound practical summary of the Communist Party of Vietnam’s own creativity on the Vietnamese socialism model and its creative application and development of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh's thought.
Vice Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council Ta Ngoc Tan said: "The book will be a valuable and important basis for continuing to review the theory on the Party's renewal guidelines and is a precious document for political and ideological education to raise awareness of cadres, Party members and people about socialism and the way to socialism and create consensus to promote socialism and the great national unity."
"This will enable Vietnam to achieve its goal of a rich people and strong country, democracy, justice and civilization so that by the middle of the 21st century, Vietnam will become a developed, high-income country oriented towards socialism,” Mr. Tan said.
The National Political Publishing House also released an electronic version of the book “Several theoretical and practical issues on socialism and the path toward socialism in Vietnam” on Stbook.vn and Thuviencoso.vn.
