(VOVworld) – Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on Monday attended a ceremony to open the new school year at the National Defense Academy. Trong urged the academy to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the resolutions of the 11^th National Party Congress and the 8^th plenum of the 9^th Party Central Committee on national defense strategy in the new period.   The Party leader also urged the academy to constantly reform and improve training quality by combing theories and practices and creatively developing Marxist-Leninist view points, and Ho Chi Minh’s thoughts. Trong called on the trainees to work on the protection of the Party’s guidelines and points of view as well as successfully implement party building.
