(VOVworld) – Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong received Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on Wednesday. He asked President Lukashenko and the Belarusian government to deploy measures to implement the two countries’ high level agreements, particularly in economics and trade as well as to support the Vietnamese community there.

He said that Vietnam values its relations with traditional friends including Belarus. President Lukashenko said Belarus considers Vietnam one of its priority partners in the Asia-Pacific and will do more to foster its traditional friendship and cooperation with Vietnam. He also pledged to boost the ratification of the Vietnam-Eurasian Economic Union FTA.
