Party leader reiterates Vietnam’s willingness to share reform experience with Cuba
(VOVWORLD) -Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has reiterated Vietnam’s unswerving stance of supporting the Cubans’ revolutionary cause, saying Vietnam is ready to share its reform experience with Cuba, which is upgrading its socio-economic model.

Party leader Trong made the remark at a reception in Hanoi on Wednesday for Olga Lidia Tapia Iglesia, member of the Secretariat and Head of the Department of Science, Education, and Sports of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba. The guest said Cuba treasures the special ties Vietnam and wants to strengthen the traditional relationship and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States, and peoples.
Earlier, the Cuban Party official held talks with Vo Van Thuong, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communications and Education. Both sides discussed results and experience in ideological work, science, education, and sports, and cooperation direction.
