(VOVWORLD) - Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong hailed Lang Son province’s efforts in promoting solidarity, innovation and taking drastic and comprehensive measures to implement national and provincial Party Congresses’ resolutions.

At Friday’s meeting with the Lang Son administration, Mr. Trong urged provincial leaders to create new and stronger changes in socio-economic development, given the province’s potential and favorable conditions for economic development, especially tourism, service, industry, modern agriculture, and cross border economy.
“All the strength and potential needs to be fully tapped with the spirit of taking the people as the center to address social issues and constantly improve people’s material and spiritual lives,” said Mr. Trong.
He underscored the need to keep reforming and improving education and training, health care, vocational training and job creation, especially in rural and remote regions and areas housing new investment projects.
“It’s necessary to fruitfully carry out preferential policies for revolution contributors, ethnic minorities and rural residents to better their life quality and to sustainably reduce poverty,” Party leader Trong noted.
General Secretary Trong asked Lang Son to develop human resources and pay special attention to regional connectivity, consolidate the all people national defense and security posture, firmly protect national sovereignty, and build a border of peace, friendship, cooperation, stability and development.
