Following his arrival, a grand ceremony chaired by King Norodom Sihamoni was held at Cambodia’s Royal Palace to welcome Party leader and President Nguyen Phu Trong and the Vietnamese delegation. The host and guest later held talks at the palace.

This is the first time Mr. Trong has paid a state visit to Cambodia in his new position, illustrating Vietnam’s great attachment of importance to the reinforcement and enhancement of friendly relations and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia.
