(VOVworld) – Politburo member, General Phung Quang Thanh has affirmed that the People’s Army Newspaper is one of the country’s key information channels of Vietnam’s Revolutionary Press. General Thanh who is also Defence Minister made the remark while paying an official visit to the Newspaper on Wednesday which coincided with the 87^th anniversary of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day, June 21^st. General Thanh praised the newspaper’s contributions to fighting for peace and against hostile forces as well as increasing the armed forces’ political spirit to build a firm people’s national defence and first-class people’s military force. The General expressed his hope that with its long-term tradition, the newspaper with its publications, especially those online, must keep following facts and informing in a timely, accurate way and with objectivity for its readers.
