People-to-people diplomacy enhanced in the new context
(VOVworld) – On Tuesday, the Party’s Central Commission for External Relations organized a training conference on people-to-people diplomacy in 2016.

It aims to update staff of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and central agencies on the resolution of the 12th National Party Congress on the diplomatic guidelines, and policies and improve the effectiveness of people-to-people diplomacy. The participants heard a number of reports on the regional and global situation, the Party and State’s diplomatic work, democracy and human rights in international relations, Vietnam’s diplomatic policies, opportunities and challenges as the country joins the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement. Tran Dac Loi, Deputy Head of the Party’s Central Commission for External Relations, said: “The training course aims to implement the Party and State’s diplomatic guidelines and policies in the new context. It also implements the Party’s Decree on improving and increasing the effectiveness of the people-to-people diplomacy in the new situation”.
