Photographer Nick Ut donates items to Vietnam Journalism Museum
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese-American photographer Nick Ut on Friday presented to the Vietnam Journalism Museum 2 cameras and 52 original photos he took in the Vietnamese battle fields and in post-war Vietnam after 1975.

Born in 1951 in Long An, Nick Ut (Huynh Cong Ut), was employed to the US-based Associated Press at the age of 16. He took the photo of Phan Thi Kim Phuc and other children who got burnt because of the US’ Napalm bombs in Trang Bang, Tay Ninh province in 1972. The photo made headlines on major newspapers. In 1973, Nick received a Putlizer award for the 'Napalm girl' photo, which was ranked 41 out of 100 most influential photos in the 20th century by Columbia University.
