Plan devised for Mekong Delta's climate change response
(VOVWORLD) - The Party Central Committee's Economic Commission hosted a conference on Friday in Hanoi to devise the socio-economic development plan for the Mekong Delta Region until 2030 with a vision to 2045.

Head of the Commission Tran Tuan Anh told the conference that the Mekong Delta Region is one of Vietnam’s six socio-economic hub and an important contributor to Vietnam’s sustainable development. After 18 years of implementing the Politburo’s resolution on socio-economic development and national defense, numerous achievements have been recorded in the region.
The plan for Mekong Delta Region focuses on strong resilience against natural disasters, social security, cultural diversification, and ecological and environmental sustainability.
