(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation arrived in Hanoi on Friday evening, concluding their two-day trip to visit Laos and co-chair the 47th meeting of the Vietnam - Laos Intergovernmental Committee for Bilateral Cooperation at the invitation of Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone.

Speaking to reporters about the outcomes of the Prime Minister's visit to Laos, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Do Hung Viet, said despite its brief duration of just two days, the trip featured a packed agenda with nearly 20 diverse activities which significantly contributed to enhancing the special friendship, solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
Senior leaders of both countries agreed to maintain regular contacts and exchanges of high-level delegations at various levels, both bilaterally and multilaterally and effectively implement bilateral cooperation and consultation mechanisms.
Under the leadership of senior leaders and the proactive efforts of ministries, sectors, and localities, the two sides successfully resolved numerous longstanding projects, which will create momentum for more dynamic and substantive development cooperation.
Both sides agreed on policies and directions for strategic projects in infrastructure, transportation, and energy connectivity and enhancing business connectivity to usher in a new era of integrated economic cooperation.
Vietnam and Laos will continue collaborating with Cambodia to advance cooperative projects among the three countries to deliver practical economic benefits and align with contemporary development needs in the new period, thus enhancing economic connectivity on par with the strong political and diplomatic ties among the three nations.
The two sides pledged to maintain close coordination at international and regional forums, reinforcing their shared commitment to multilateralism and mutual support on the global stage.
