Addressing the event, Mr. Phuc said he pays special attention to the development of the textile and garment sector, which has 7,000 firms and contributes greatly to national development. The sector has created 3 million jobs, helping to reduce the workforce in agriculture.
The PM praised VITAS for accomplishing its duties, serving as a bridge between the government and businesses, and providing policy consultancy, particularly in Free Trade Agreement negotiations.
Mr. Phuc urged the textile and garment sector to seize opportunities of the 4th Industrial Revolution and create business and product brands.
