PM calls for joining hands to spread rule of law spirit

(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said on Sunday that respecting the Constitution and the law must become the standard of conduct in society.

Addressing an event in Hanoi to mark Vietnam Law Day 2022, the Prime Minister noted that the people are the center and the players in the law-making process and law enforcement agencies should ensure that all law violations are detected and handled promptly, fairly, strictly, consistently, publicly, and transparently.

"Responding to Vietnam Law Day, each of us should join hands to spread the spirit of the rule of law, making the Constitution and the law truly ingrained in our consciousness and in the actions of each citizen, business, agency, organization, and society as a whole. I hope every Vietnamese citizen has a sense of compliance with the law to build a civilized and polite society to soon realize the aspiration to make Vietnam strong and prosperous and its people wealthy and happy," said Prime Minister Chinh.

On November 9, 1946, the first Constitution of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, was approved by the first session of the first National Assembly. November 9 has been designated by the Party and State as Vietnam Law Day.
