(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen tan Dung has called for obstacles to be removed for the construction of the Hoa Lac high-tech park and Hanoi National University. During a working session with the relevant ministries and Hanoi authorities on Wednesday, he said building high-tech parks to boost scientific and technological application and join the global value chain was one of Vietnam’s major policies.
The Hoa Lac high-tech park project was approved by the government in 1998 with a designed area of approximately 1,600 hectares. It has attracted 70 projects with a total capital of 2.8 billion USD. However, due to the global and domestic economic downturn, some projects have not been implemented as scheduled while others have suffered from a series of difficulties.
