The Complex, the first integrated petrochemical complex in Vietnam,

is designed to produce various petrochemical products, including essential plastic materials such as polyethene, polypropylene, and other products in excess of two million tonnes per year, enabling it to substitute imported polyolefin products.

The Complex, together with the Nghi Son Refinery in the north and Binh Son Refinery in the central region, will form a network of refineries across the country, ensuring the supply of petroleum for the domestic market, PM Chinh said.

Roongrote Rangsiyopash, Chairman and CEO of Thailand’s Siam Cement Group (SCG), the investor of the project, said that the complex shows the firm’s long-term commitment to Vietnam’s sustainable development.
