PM inspects strategic projects in Son La
(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Saturday made a fact-finding trip to strategic projects in the northern mountainous province of Son La, including the Hoa Binh-Moc Chau expressway and Na San airport.

The expressway runs from Ky Son ward in Hoa Binh city to Phieng Luong commune in Son La’s Moc Chau district with a total length of about 85km.
Na San airport, 300 kilometers northwest of Hanoi, was first built in 1950 by France. During the war, the airport was used as an entrenched fortification of the French army. In the 1960s, the airport was renovated to serve travel demand in the northwest region but was closed thereafter.
The airport is designed to serve both civil and military purposes, with an annual capacity of handing 1.5 million passengers by 2030.

The same day, PM Chinh attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the Moc Chau Milk Paradise Complex in Son La.
The 88 million USD project consists of a high-tech dairy farm and a high-tech milk processing plant.
The farm also serves as an eco-tourism site while the plant has a designed capacity of 500 tonnes of milk per day in the first phase which will double in the second phase.
PM Chinh said the project will boost agriculture in Son La and promote the Moc Chau milk brand.
