(VOVworld)- Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has stressed that the Vietnamese Party, State and people always remember and express their gratitude to those who laid down their lives for national independence and freedom.

At a meeting with war veterans and young volunteers who participated in the anti-US war, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of the great victory on April 30, 1975 which liberated the south and reunified the country. He praised the Vietnam War Veterans’ Association and the Association of Former Young Volunteers for their contributions to national development and social movements in particular. He urged the Associations to strengthen their organizations and contribute further to Party building and consolidating the administration thus enhancing national construction and defense.
