He praised opinions by the voters and answered their questions on education and training, management of overseas workers and national defense issues. During his meeting with local leaders the same day, the Prime Minister praised the city’s growth rate of 8.12% this year and called for more efforts to stabilize the macro economy, control inflation and care for social welfare: “This year’s achievements in macro economic stabilization and social welfare will pave the way for Hai Phong to make further progress in economic growth, social welfare and inflation control. We need to address difficulties in production and support enterprises in mechanical engineering, ship building and cement industries.”
