(VOVworld) - Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has asked the northern coastal city of Hai Phong to develop Cat Hai District a city of port and tourism services. At a meeting with voters in Cat Hai District on Thursday, Dung said that the Government and municipal administration will soon approve a master - plan for Cai Hai Island District and its Lach Huyen Port with priority given to investing in transports, electricity and fresh water projects. Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung says ‘In development master-plans, the Government often prioritizes on-the-spot resettlement and establishment of civilized urban areas instead of moving the local out of their places. A master-planning aims to make people’s life better’.

Prime Minister Dung said that the Government is doing its utmost to resolve difficulties to boost production and trading by cutting interest rates, reducing taxes to support businesses. The Government has speeded up the disbursement of state budget for capital construction, implemented social security policies, and invested in healthcare, education in combination with new rural development. The Government leader said administrative reforms and anti-corruption, ensuring social orders and protection of national sovereign integrity are also the Government’s focus.

The same day, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung visited and presented gifts to several policy beneficiary families in Cat Hai Islands District on the occasion of the 65^th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day on July 27^th.
