He met with Myanmar President U Win Myint to discuss bilateral cooperation in various fields after attending a welcome ceremony hosted by President Myint.

During the visit, PM Phuc is scheduled to hold talks with State Counselor Aung San Suu Kyi, and meet with leaders of the parliament and localities. An action program to boost Vietnam-Myanmar comprehensive cooperative partnership for 2019-2024 is expected to be signed during Mr. Phuc’s visit.

The visit reflects Vietnam’s commitment to its ties with Myanmar, and its readiness to enhance the partnership.
