PM pays field visits and directs storm and flood damage recovery efforts in central region
(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc visited primary and secondary schools in Ky Nam commune in Ha Tinh province on Saturday which were heavily affected by Storm Doksuri.

He told solders and people helping clean up and repair the facilities where school roofs were torn off: “We should mobilize resources to help people repair houses and classrooms and cannot let people live without shelters. Clean up efforts should be accelerated while electricity, safe water and clean environment must be ensured seamless education for kids.”

The Prime Minister asked local authorities to recover electricity supply to 4 districts still without power in Ha Tinh province. The Prime Minister told officials in a working session in Quang Binh province on Friday: “Immediate supply of 3,000 ton of rice will be allocated to support local people. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will province rice and vegetable seeds for Quang Binh in the upcoming harvesting season. Early research of provincial proposals on safe zones for vessels and rescue operation should be done.”
The Prime Minister called for rapid efforts to repair damaged houses and ensure medicines supplies for disease prevention.
