(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Sunday offered incense and laid a wreath to pay tribute to martyrs at the Ba Doc Martyrs’ Cemetery and honored General Vo Nguyen Giap.

This commemoration marked the 420th anniversary of Quang Binh province, the 75th anniversary of the Quang Binh Uprising, and the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the current Quang Binh province.
The Ba Doc Martyrs’ Cemetery, located in Ly Trach commune, Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province, is the resting place of over 3,000 martyrs from various regions across the country.
The Prime Minister and his delegation observed a minute of silence, paying homage and expressing their deep gratitude to those who sacrificed their lives for national independence, reunification, and the fulfillment of noble international duties.

The same day, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited the grave of General Vo Nguyen Giap in the Vung Chua-Dao Yen area, Quang Dong commune, Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province.
He offered incense and flowers, expressing his profound gratitude to General Vo Nguyen Giap for his significant and outstanding contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Vietnamese people.
