(VOVworld) – Laos’ Chief of General Staff and Deputy Defense Minister Major General Suvon Luongbunmi is visting Vietnam. At a reception in Hanoi on Monday, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said that he valued the results of talks between the two countries’ chiefs of the general staff. He said that the government of Vietnam deems it important to develop military and economic cooperation between the two countries.

The Laotian general said his visit is aimed at deepening friendship and mutual understanding between the two armies, contributing to the Laos-Vietnam special relationship and comprehensive cooperation.
