(VOVWORLD) - Quang Binh holds an important strategic position and has contributed more and more to national development, as evidenced by the province's impressive economic growth averaging 7.9% per year from 1991 to 2023, said Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

Mr. Chinh addressed a ceremony on Sunday in Quang Binh province to celebrate the 420th anniversary of the locality’s establishment, 75 years since its Uprising Day (on July 15), and 35 years since its re-establishment (on July 1).
The PM said tourism has become a key industry, adding that despite hardships, the land of ‘Sweltering sand dunes in the noon sunlight of Quang Binh’ is brave, resilient, and indomitable in war and will continue to grow strongly.
“The whole country believes that the authorities and people of Quang Binh will stay united, be dynamic and creative, dare to think, dare to do, and dare to make breakthroughs to achieve the goals, strategies, and visions that have been set, and contribute more to national development,” said Mr. Chinh.
The celebration was followed by a special art program themed "Quang Binh's journey of aspiration and development". The program ended with a light show using a high-tech laser projector system and 1,000 drones, creating iconic images of Quang Binh province.
