Receiving Brendan Nelson, Senior Vice President of The Boeing Company and President of Boeing Global, in Hanoi on Friday, PM Chinh recalled his meeting with Boeing leaders last May in Washington D.C. on the sidelines of the US-ASEAN Summit, as well as his discussions with Boeing leaders, who joined US business delegations visiting Vietnam recently.

Prime Minister Chinh said he appreciates Boeing’s long-term cooperation plan with Vietnam and its opening of a representative office in the country.

Vietnam always considers the US one of its most important partners, he said and asked Boeing to continue to support Vietnam's airlines in fleet development plans with medium and long-term vision.

The Boeing leader said Vietnam is important to Boeing's business strategy and the company will expand its cooperation and investment in Vietnam, beefing up US-Vietnam economic cooperation.

Agreeing with the comments and suggestions of Prime Minister Chinh, Nelson said his company is committed to long-term investment in Vietnam to contribute to the aviation industry development in Vietnam.
