PM Phuc will join other leaders at the opening session themed “Meeting of leaders on ocean action agenda”, and meet with several country leaders on the sidelines of the Forum. The PM and WEF Founder and Executive Chairman Klaus Schwab are to chair a dialogue with leaders of global groups on the Vietnamese economy with the theme of enhancing dynamism and innovation in the fourth Industrial Revolution. Also on Wednesday, the Vietnamese Prime Minister will meet leaders of several multinational groups.
On this occasion, Vietnamese correspondents asked foreign experts about Vietnam’s role in Davos. Dr. Pierre Groning, Director Advocacy of Amfori – a Belgium-based global business association – has applauded Vietnam’s increasingly important contributions to the World Economic Forum (WEF). He said Vietnam can take advantage of the Forum to demonstrate itself as a country that protects and promotes multilateral order. Pascal Kerneis, Managing Director of the European Services Forum (ESF), said Vietnam joining the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreements for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) and negotiating the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) signaled it wants to participate in the globalization process and the fourth Industrial Revolution.
