(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will attend the 54th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF), starting Monday, at the invitation of WEF founder and chairman Klaus Schwab.

Mr. Chinh will share Vietnam’s vision at the Forum's main sessions, including a WEF Country Strategic Dialogue on Vietnam, a Vietnamese policy dialogue, and a discussionon global cooperation in ASEAN, according to Ambassador Le Thi Tuyet Mai, head of the Permanent Mission of Vietnam to the UN, the WTO, and other international organizations in Geneva.
Ambassador Mai said PM Chinh will also join leaders of other countries, international organizations, and multi-national businesses at a WEF session on restoring confidence in the global system.
Prime Minister Chinh’s participation at WEF-54 will be an opportunity to highlight ideas, commitments, and solutions for realizing Vietnam’s strategy for sustainable socio-economic development and international integration, and demonstrate Vietnam's determination to fulfill its commitment to bring net emissions to zero by 2050.
Ambassador Mai said the activities will provide opportunities for Vietnam to prove its role as an active partner of the international community and its readiness to contribute to solving global problems and shaping the future.
