PM underscores preschool education’s role in human resource development

(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Thursday chaired the meeting of the National Committee for Education and Training Innovation on preschool education. Prime Minister Chinh said preschool education plays a crucial role in the national education system, in the strategy for human resources and developing Vietnamese people.

Preschool education is a level of education for smallest age group in the process of human development, he said and added that building and developing people needs to be laid the foundation from the first years of life. The preschool education level needs to continue to follow the basic innovation roadmap and the directions of the Party and State.
The Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Education and Training to actively implement innovation to adapt to the new context and the country's socio-economic development goals.
At the meeting, the Ministry of Education and Training heard a report on "Innovation and development of preschool education to 2030 and vision to 2045". Members of the National Committee for Education and Training Innovation and leaders of ministries, sectors and localities commented on the report.
