Addressing the Asian Net Zero Emission Community (AZEC) Leaders’ Meeting in Tokyo attended by senior leaders of ASEAN, Japan and Australia, Prime Minister Chinh put forth ways to contribute to achieving AZEC's goals.
He stressed the need to focus cooperation on research, development, and diversification of clean energy sources and new technologies. Efforts should be made to promote technology transfer to ensure clean energy sources are widely accessible and affordable in the Asian region and ensure clean energy conversion suitable to each country's conditions, Mr. Chinh said.
The Prime Minister said that it is necessary to strengthen new climate finance mechanisms, public-private cooperation and cooperation in the private sector; strengthen cooperation in training high-quality human resources, smart management and fine-tuning modern, appropriate and effective market institutions for each country.
Prime Minister Chinh affirmed that with strong determination and strong action, an Asia with net zero emissions will become a reality, bringing prosperity to the community of Asian nations and a sustainable future globally.
