PM urges Japan to lead FDI investment in Vietnam
(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnamese government considers improving the business environment its key task, said Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc at a meeting in Hanoi on Thursday with President of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Hiroyuki Ishige.

The Prime Minister said Vietnam is stabilizing the macro economy, fine-tuning legal institutions, upgrading infrastructure, and developing human resources as well as streamlining administrative procedures in taxation, customs, and social insurance. Mr. Phuc expressed his hope that Japan will take the lead in FDI investment in Vietnam, and that Japanese enterprises will invest in Vietnam’s infrastructure, clean energy, processing industry, electronics, manufacturing, support industry, technologies, aviation, and logistics.
Mr. Hiroyuki Ishige said he hoped Vietnam and Japan would take the leading role in implementing the CPTPP and the pact will be realized soon. He urged the Vietnamese government to further improve the business environment because Japanese enterprises are very interested in Vietnam.
