Mr. Chinh was speaking at a reception in Hanoi on Thursday for a high-level delegation of the Council led by Chairman and CEO Ted Osius, former US Ambassador to Vietnam.
He called on the US to help Vietnam realize its goal of becoming a developing country with a modern industry and upper-middle income by 2030 and a developed, high-income country by 2045.
Chairman and CEO Ted Osius and representatives of US businesses strongly pledged more investment in various sectors in Vietnam including technology, electronics, aviation, electric vehicles, logistics, energy, healthcare, finance, e-commerce, food, and tourism.
The Americans also proposed that Vietnam continue offering preferential mechanisms, especially tax incentives in certain sectors for US businesses.
