PM urges stronger actions for victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin
(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Wednesday expressed sympathy and gratitude for those who fought in the resistance war and have suffered pain caused by toxic chemicals.

Working with the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, in Hanoi on Wednesday, the Prime Minister praised the Association’s efforts, spirit of solidarity, and initiative to protect the legitimate rights of Agent Orange/Dioxin victims and care for them.
The Prime Minister urged the Association to work harder in overcoming the consequences of toxic chemicals, strengthening the association organizations at all levels, and reforming its mode of operation. He also asked the Association to focus on building a contingent of staff who are enthusiastic, responsible, and sympathetic to the victims.
Prime Minister Phuc said, “Efforts should be made to mobilize social resources to help victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, considering it as a key and regular task of all levels of the Association. It’s necessary to promote the movement "Action for the victims of Agent Orange in Vietnam" launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee. The Association should do well the role of gathering philanthropists, connecting the community, encouraging the whole society to jointly heal the pain of those affected by toxic chemicals.”
