PM: Vietnam resolutely copes with Covid-19
(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Friday asked relevant agencies to closely monitor isolated people under guidance of the Ministry of Health and resolutely evoke working permit of foreign workers who need to be isolated but leave the isolation areas.
On Saturday, a working team of the Ministry of Health worked with Covid 19 response teams in Binh Xuyen district, Vinh Phuc province to ensure isolation of Son Loi commune and Covid-19 affected people.
Working teams of the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology, the Central Pediatrics Hospital, and the Preventive Medicine Department are on duty 24 hours. Those who have close contacts with and family members of Covid-19 positive cases are being isolated.
Quang Ninh province is taking various preventive measures against the epidemic. The Vietnam Mineral and Coal College in Quang Ninh province has disinfected the school facilities and checked students’ body temperature every day. The school’s Youth Union Secretary Cong Thi Phuong Thao said: “The school’s Youth Union has disseminated medical information on disease prevention. Our activities have received strong support from all students, teachers, and staff at the school.”
Communications on disease prevention were also implemented in coal mines. Ho Van Trang of the Ha Lam-Vinacomin Coal Company said: “While working in mines, where the air ventilation is not good, our workers have close contacts. Therefore, we have to implement all the necessary preventive measures."
