PM visits Bac Giang, Bac Ninh – two provinces hardest hit by COVID-19
(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Saturday visited Bac Giang and Bac Ninh provinces, which have been seriously affected by COVID-19 with more than 1,880 COVID-19 infection cases confirmed in Bac Giang and 730 in Bac Ninh.

In Bac Giang province, Prime Minister Chinh and other abinet members discussed with the local leaders the mobilization of forces, vaccination, and technology application in the fight against the epidemic and solutions to lychee exports and sales in the domestic market. The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs agreed to use the Fund for Child Protection to support more than 4,800 children in the quarantine areas. The Army Corps 2 will receive 2,300 workers who are quarantined in Van Trung industrial park.
Prime Minister Chinh stressed the importance to engage the whole political system at the grassroots level to combat the pandemic. He agreed on the use of technology and database to enhance the monitoring and management in the fight against the epidemic.
During his visit to the Field Hospital No 2 of Regiment 831 of the Bac Giang Provincial Military Command, the Prime Minister praised great efforts of the frontliners.

The same day, Prime Minister Chinh visited Bac Ninh province, where he praised the province’s initiatives and prompt solutions to contain the disease while stabilizing local people’s lives and production. The Prime Minister asked the province to strengthen disease prevention measures on a larger scale, consider imposing social distancing in industrial parks and areas neighboring Bac Giang province, accelerate testing on workers in industrial parks and high-risk areas, and promote the role of the health care system at the grassroots level.
