(VOVworld) – On Monday Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong signed a directive of the politburo on National Assembly and People’s Council elections for the 2016-2021 term. The elections are scheduled for May 22, 2016. The directive states that the elections are an important political event as such the task of the Party, army, and people is to select competent and morally sound officials to represent the will and aspirations of the people at the National Assembly and People’s Councils.
